Become a Member

Physicians who are FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiners, aviation agency personnel, physicians who evaluate pilots or have an interest in aviation safety grounded in education and strong foundations of aeromedical certification for pilots of all types are encouraged to apply for membership in CAMA.

Active membership shall include any of the following acceptable candidates who are elected to membership after completing an application:
  • Duly licensed physicians in good standing with their respective medical societies who are interested in civil aviation.
  • Other individuals who are active in civil aviation and who are interested in aviation medicine and flight safety.

Retired active members include those members who retire from practice but wish to maintain affiliation with CAMA. They shall pay a discounted dues fee as established by the Executive Board of CAMA, shall have voice and vote, but may not hold office.

Life members shall be those active members who elect to pay a one-time lump sum specified by the Executive Board of CAMA for lifetime dues.
Student members shall be physician trainees who are interested in civil aviation or other individuals who are active in civil aviation and who are full-time students in an accredited college or university. They shall pay reduced dues as determined by the Executive Board, shall have voice and vote, but may not hold office.

Sustaining members shall be those active members who contribute an annual sum, established by the Executive Board of CAMA, to support the activities of the Association.
